- Make Nothing of Yourself

Francois was rejected by Jean Paul in favor of la femme Americain and realized his true purpose was literally nothing.
Convinced that Becoming Nothing must Become The Thing Which Must Be Done, he meditated. His clothes became uncomfortable. Nothing needs no clothes; he removed them.
He determined that the fastest way to Become Most Meaningless was through death, and determined to lay in the street naked and Become Nothing Most Efficiently.
The Problem with this approach, he realized, lying naked in the street with his ancient revolver, was that in pulling the trigger, The Gun, The Cartridge, The Bullet, All achieved Meaning, and that his own Nothingness would then Achieve Meaning by proving the Non Meaning of Existence, and simultaneously the Meaning of Non Existence.
He sat up, went to the café on the sidewalk, threatened a stranger with the empty pistol for a black Russian cigarette and a light, put it to his nose and stole the wine from a nearby table when the man went to the restroom.
When the man returned, he taught Francois that the Meaning of Existence is pain. Much pain. And the man took his cigarette.
